Partners
Becoming a partner
What to send HelloLedger, what you get back, and how to go live.
What to send us
- Your app's name, as users should see it on the approval screen.
- The email address of the person who will manage your partner settings.
- A billing contact (for partner-billed companies) and a technical contact.
Partner settings
Your admins sign in to HelloLedger with the invited email address and open Partner settings (/app/partner). From there they manage everything for your app:
- Redirect URIs. They must match exactly, including the path. Every admin and contact is emailed when they change.
- Turn on Connect to get your client_id, which is safe to put in links, and your client secret, shown once.
- Rotate the secret. The previous secret keeps working for 24 hours so you can deploy the new one. Company keys aren't affected.
- Billing and technical contacts, and which teammates are admins.
- Connected companies, who pays for each, and this month's partner bill.
- Your app's name, permissions, and pricing are set by HelloLedger. Contact us to change them.
Going live
- Connect a test company end to end: approve, exchange the code, call GET /v1/whoami, then send a customer and an invoice.
- Try the cancel path and a reused code so your app handles access_denied and invalid_grant.
- Add a Connect HelloLedger button where your users manage integrations, and show which company is connected.
Partner billing
Companies you connect with billing=partner are invoiced to you monthly, one line per business, at partner pricing. Use GET /v1/partner/companies to see the list HelloLedger bills from.
